Holler if You hear me, God!

Sooo…it’s been a couple of weeks! Sorry about that! This month has been so busy for me and somehow the days got away from me. I just want to share something quickly with you today and I hope it blesses you like it blessed me. You ready? Ok…here it is: The Lord is listening! Yep, despite what the enemy has been saying and regardless of what the nonbelievers and naysayers want you to believe, He is listening to you AND your prayers. Want proof? I’m happy to supply!

About that time Hezekiah became deathly ill, and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to visit him. He gave the king this message: “This is what the Lord says: Set your affairs in order, for you are going to die. You will not recover from this illness.” When Hezekiah heard this, he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, “Remember, O Lord, how I have always been faithful to you and have served you single-mindedly, always doing what pleases you.” Then he broke down and wept bitterly. But before Isaiah had left the middle courtyard, this message came to him from the Lord: “Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people.

Tell him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears.

I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the Lord. I will add fifteen years to your life, and I will rescue you and this city from the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own honor and for the sake of my servant David.’”

Did you catch that? A word was declared over Hezekiah’s life from the Lord that he would die and his response was to pray a reminder prayer. He reminded God that his sole purpose was to honor and serve Him and then He wept. Hezekiah had a real moment before the Lord and minutes…not days, not months, and not years later, the Lord responded with a “go back to Hezekiah” word. That thing blessed me this weekend when I read it because it told me that God can and will do exactly what He wants to do. It is His good pleasure to bless you. When it seems like no and death are the final answer in your life, remember that God can come back to you with a fix. He can add blessing to what you thought was the end and deliver you from your enemies. Please do not fear that God does not see or hear you right where you are! He does and He will respond! He will heal, deliver, and set in order! Trust Him…He’s listening!

Amen
