Still? Yep...still!

Last week was a marathon week for me and there is no end in sight. One day, I just kept hearing the words “in spite of me” ringing in my spirit. It turned into a whole song that I could not shake. It was a beautiful reminder that in spite of me, the Lord still loves me. He still comes to see about me. He still blesses and covers me in spite of my shortcomings and my attitude. Regardless of how long I study my word or how deep I pray, He still responds. For some that may have just felt like a nice reassurance, but for me it felt like a charge. It shook me just how much power was in those few words. The idea that someone loves me without conditions, timelines, and limits continues to blow my mind. So I just want to give you 6 scriptures and I hope you hold them close to your heart and allow them to not only encourage you but motivate you to respond with dedication and service to One who loves so well. He is worthy of it…

“The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” – Jeremiah 31:3

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?” Romans 8:35

“It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13:7

“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit…” Titus 3:4-5

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” 1 John 4:9-10

Did you feel what I felt? In spite of who I am or what fail at, The Lord loves me and He feels the same about you!

Amen
